Jaime and Kevin’s Eastport Nautical Wedding – I love a good nautical themed wedding, but I especially love when it’s an Eastport nautical wedding! Jaime and Kevin live in Eastport, a community within Annapolis rooted in its maritime past and present. In fact, the home they live in was Jaime’s grandparents’ home that they lived in for 70 years! It made sense for Jaime and Kevin to keep their wedding festivities close to home and showcase their Eastport pride.
Jaime’s preparations took place just across the Eastport Bridge at the Westin. She looked radiant in her beaded gown and Badgley Mischka shoes.
Meanwhile, the guys were busy getting ready at the couple’s Eastport home and were whisked off to St. Mary’s Parrish by trolley.
The chapel at St. Mary’s Parrish is stunning and makes for a beautiful venue for any wedding. Father Flynn presided over the wedding ceremony and gave Jaime and Kevin some heartfelt advice before they exchanged their vows.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful garden at the Carroll House, which also offers a beautiful view of the Eastport Bridge and Spa Creek.
The Annapolis Maritime Museum, located in Eastport, was the perfect choice for the couple’s reception. The Maritime Museum is situated directly on Back Creek, with views of the Chesapeake Bay. The Museum was beautifully decorated with nautical touches.
As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite parts of the day is listening to the speeches and toasts during dinner. Hearing the bride and groom’s closest loved ones share stories and memories with everyone always touches me. It’s so wonderful to be able to capture the couple’s emotions during those moments.
As the party wound down and the sun began to set, we stole Jaime and Kevin for some beautiful waterfront shots. No Eastport nautical wedding would be complete without them!
Jaime and Kevin, we wish you all the best! And we hope you have a wonderful time in St. Lucia!
♥ Jess
