San Diego Engagement Session at Liberty Station – I’m so thankful newly engaged couple Anita and Lucas suggested we shoot their engagement session at Liberty Station! Liberty Station offered a wide array of backdrops and looks and we made sure we took advantage of all of them!
How They Met:
Anita and Lucas both worked at the Mission Valley YMCA as Summer Camp Counselors when they met at the overnight resident camp in Julian called Camp Marston. They talked about the music on their ipods on the 2 hour bus ride back to San Diego. Noticing they liked the same music, Lucas offered to update Anita’s ipod. At the time, she was far too shy to accept but the seed of love had been planted! A year later, she gained the courage to invite him to Taco Tuesday with her friends. He went and couldn’t be happier he did!
Lucas and Anita went on a road trip to Mammoth Mountain. They stayed at a hotel by June Lake called the Double Eagle Resort and Spa. On Saturday, December 18th, 2015 they spent the day on the slopes snowboarding though about 8 inches of fresh snow. Back at the hotel they got a relaxing couples massage before dinner. On the walk to dinner, in the fresh snow, under the moonlight, with the glistening sierras as the backdrop, Lucas got on one knee and proposed. She jumped and squealed and, of course, said YES! Lucas was so nervous he knew he had to ask before dinner, he couldn’t contain the excitement. Anita was so excited and surprised that she couldn’t focus on the menu and Lucas had to order dinner for her. Excitement was in the air that night!
It was a beautiful evening for an engagement session at Liberty Station and we wish Anita and Lucas a bright and happy future together!
